I’m using two jQuery plugins to manage the images. TinyCarousel is one of them, it creates an image slider for navigation and ColorBox helps open clicked images without leaving the page. It’s actually fun. Formatting images from the album feed is a breeze with the help of SimplePie which by default is included in WordPress. It does all the back end work for me.

Cool eh? Try hovering or clicking on an image. Dig into my source code to get more information. All done with CSS3 and some Javascript(or shall I say jQuery). Sorry IE’ers, no support for y’all but it works great on IE7 and above.

About the Twitter integration, I don’t think its going to be possible. Various reasons.

Its gonna be cool, so cool till you’ll start dancing with your fingers. Yep, its that exciting. I don’t know, its mainly aimed towards people with really basic knowledge on WordPress or maybe none at all.

A new feature in WordPress 3.0 lets you create custom post types and custom post taxonomies. However it requires some general knowledge about hooks and functions in WordPress. There are a lot of tutorials but most of them might end up confusing you. With help of a WordPress plugin, you can easily do it in not more than 3 minutes.

Custom Post Type UI(the plugin) adds a simple and easy to use user interface allowing you to easily manage your post types or post taxonomies in the Dashboard itself without touching a single line of code. With this plugin you can add, delete or edit custom post types/taxonomies. It would be way more flexible and easier to manage compared to coding it yourself.

If you’ve been using it already, just upgrade it via the app store.

I doubt this build does anything to your database structure. Remember its an early alpha, so do a DB back up first if anything is to go wrong.
