In minimal designs, rounded corners should avoided. But its not wrong adding a little bit of it. It gets too sharp sometimes, to smooth-en it the only way out is to use rounded corners. Not all browsers have the support for it but most of them do.

I’m not obsessed with rounded corners but not adding them at all makes the site look dull. I just feel that way.
