# Post Titles

by Manmohanjit Singh on May 11th, 2010 in General.

A perfect post title is one that is straight forward, as a writer you need to have a straight forward title representing your article. And for the sake of god, no question marks, please! When you are writing an article, you are not asking your readers a question but instead you are trying to tell them something. However, if you are then it should be find.

Make it short, keep is simple and make sure its understandable. Readers usually look at titles first, not the content. If its interesting, then they would read your article. The title itself represents the article, a good title gets more attention. Sometimes keeping it simple is a good idea, titles shouldn’t be too complex and hard to understand.

If you take look at Engadget, most of their titles are straight forward but if you look at wannabe news sites, they try to make their titles too casual which I think is unprofessional.

Just my two cents as a reader.
